2019, Shedhalle, Zürich, Berlin

38 min

Performers: Tiziana Sertimer,

Lukas Keller, Denis Cvetkovic

In the installation and performance Err Out/ Mimesis in Reverse, ritualistic and archaic actions are performed with industrially and serially produced objects such as stacked chairs or blank keys. these actions are shown in a set up that is reminiscent of a garden, a landscape or a stage. through the exposed organic forms of the serial objects that are used, they appear animated and are reminiscent of snakes or other prehistoric shellfish. The oysters are like the beginning of this temporal chain of links that has found a new form of nature in industrial forms of production through the anthropocene age. The performers create a tension with the objects in which the ambivalent attitude towards the objects becomes clear. The caressing becomes a fight and the conjuring through the meat grinder and the oysters becomes a sound of monotonous, almost industrial soundscapes.
